NAHC Co-Hosts Biotech Seminar
On Thursday, February 26, 2009, the Native American Health Center will co-host a seminar on Understanding the Biotech Industry. This event is designed to give guests a greater insight into the history and innovative work of the biotech industry.
The California Partnership for Access to Treatment has put together this event in order to help community members understand the medical advancements being made in the biotech industry and the impact these innovations will have.
Participants will learn about:
- BioTech -- the science and technology that is changing healthcare.
- The difference between a biotech drug and a traditional drug.
- How a drug is discovered.
- The process for how a drug is brought to market.
- How biotech drugs can be used to manage and cure disease.
