Position Summary:
This position requires the individual to: 1) perform at a high level of competency with regards to both clinical services and coordination of services, 2) display the ability to work with youth and adults who have experienced trauma, and 3) provide accurate concise documentation and reporting.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Provide individual, group and family counseling, case management and referrals for clients, including children, adolescents and adults exposed to trauma.
2. Work closely with Director of Client Services and Prevention Worker, in the development of Living in Balance Program.
3. Implement youth and adult intake assessment, treatment plans and discharge summaries.
4. Responsible for providing documentation and reporting.
5. Coordinate and network with other agencies on clinical services, activities, and training.
6. Prepare monthly reports on all program activities as needed.
7. Participate in weekly inter-disciplinary case conference, presenting and discussing case material.
8. Provide culturally-competent trauma-focused therapy
9. All other duties assigned by the Director of Client Services.
10. The employee shall work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
11. The employee shall at all times demonstrate behavior with supervisors, direct reports, colleagues, and clients.
Qualifications:
1. Master’s Level Social Worker, Family therapist, or other Human Service field, or Bachelor’s Degree and equivalent experience.
2. Preference given for Master’s Level with Clinical License or close to licensure.
3. Registered (or eligible for registration) with California Board of Behavioral Science if not licensed
4. Experience working with all age groups
5. Experience working with Native American and other diverse populations.
6. Understanding of historical/inter-generational trauma
7. Willingness and ability to facilitate Talking Circles and other cultural activities.
8. Ability to integrate information and use good judgment when making decisions.
